USE YOUR PEACE GUARD

KEY SCRIPTURE/MEMORY VERSE: Philippians 4:7(NKJV)
and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
We said yesterday that there is a difference between Peace with God and the Peace of God.
What’s the difference?
In Romans 5:1, scripture tells us that peace with God is what justification by faith provides.
So peace with God is a working, a function of Jesus on the cross while the peace of God is the working of the Holy Spirit in the believer(Galatians 5:22)
If you remember, I told you a few days ago that everything Jesus did on the cross, every demonstration of Jesus on the cross, He did to show you that you can do the same.
So if you can see that you’ve been given peace by your coming to Jesus and believing in Him, that also means that there is the possibility of peace in your personal life.
Hear me, the demonstration of peace on the cross is proof that your life can also be a peace experience center.
Listen, because the cross happened, because you have been justified, because there is no more enmity between you and God, you have been qualified to enjoy the benefit of peace irrespective of the situation you are dealing with.
And you know, the reason why this peace passes or transcends human understanding is because even in the face of contrary situations, it will keep your thoughts at rest. You will have a sense of wholeness, fearing nothing because you trust in Jesus.
It’s the peace guard.
Friends, my prayer for you today is that the peace of God which transcends all knowledge and understanding will fill your heart in the name of Jesus.
REFLECTION
Are there areas of my life where I’ve experienced a lack of peace?
DECLARATION
-I believe in the good news of the gospel. That in the giving of Jesus, I am now a beneficiary of God’s grace.
-The gospel is the grace of God. I am thankful for the grace of God.
-I have come into a progressive revelation of all that the grace of God reveals.
-The cross is the proof of God’s love for me.
-The cross is the highest demonstration of the peace I now have with God.
-Because the cross happened, there is no more separation or enmity between me and God. I’ve got access!
-I have been justified by faith so I have peace with God.
-The peace of God is my default by the working of the Holy Spirit.
-The demonstration of peace on the cross of Jesus is proof that my life can also be a peace experience center.
-Regardless of the situation, this peace guard keeps my thoughts at rest and I have a sense of wholeness, fearing nothing.
-I have peace WITH God and I experience the peace OF God.
