SHOW PROOF OF LIFE

KEY SCRIPTURE/MEMORY VERSE: 1 John 3:14(NLT)
If we love our brothers and sisters who are believers, it proves that we have passed from death to life. But a person who has no love is still dead.
In your understanding of the person of God as a believer, you must know that God is love. That’s who He is.
God is not fire, God is not power, although these are elements that can describe His love. So God is not power but love is powerful.
And like we said yesterday, this love that is God is not passive, it is active. It goes all out recklessly so if we don’t love, then it’s only a sign that we don’t know God, who is love Himself.
1 John 3:14 says the marker of being born-again is that you have love for the brethren.
The phrase “passed from death to life” refers to the new birth experience which every believer in Christ is a product of.
So we see that this love for the saints is indeed a fruit of the gospel. You don’t love the brethren for reasons or for closeness sake or that you like them, you just love!
I hope you know that the gospel is supernatural, it doesn’t cause you to do natural things so when I’m saying these things and you wonder, “How can I do these things?”, you can do these things because the gospel that produces these fruits is spiritual.
That passage of scripture is so powerful. It says we have passed from death to life because we love the brethren and whoever who does not love the brethren remains dead, is still spiritually dead.
Friends, the question is- are you still spiritually dead or have you passed from death to life?
Look, let your relation with other believers show proof of life.

Am I showing proof of life?
DECLARATION
-I believe in the good news of the gospel, that the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus has announced the provision of forgiveness of my sins.
-I don’t just know the gospel, I live the gospel. I am transformed by the gospel. The gospel is working through me.
-The hearing of the gospel produces the fruits of Genuine Faith, Love for all the Saints and Hope of a Guaranteed Future in me.
-The fruits of the gospel are not a product of my ability but are generated supernaturally.
-I grow in my revelation of God’s love nature.
I love because I have been loved. I keep my view steady on the love of God. God’s love is brought to full expression within me. I’m a free-flowing dispenser of the love of God.
-I do not hold back from loving. The quality of the love I give is not passive but is just as active, sacrificial and lavish as the love of God.
-I have passed from death to life. Daily, I show proof of life.
