STAY WITH THE WISDOM OF GOD II
14th August 2020
Dr. Phil Ransom-Bello

KEY SCRIPTURE/MEMORY VERSE:1 Corinthians 1:23-24 (NLT)
So when we preach that Christ was crucified, the Jews are offended and the Gentiles say it’s all nonsense. But to those called by God to salvation, both Jews and Gentiles, Christ is the POWER of God and the WISDOM of God.

You know, it was only people who were regarded as criminals that were crucified, those deserving of punishment and yet God decided to use the cross, specifically the cross not just any kind of death, as a demonstration of His all-wise plan for mankind’s salvation.
The Roman empire punished the worst criminals, i.e the worst of the worst, by crucifixion. Because in their crucifixion, comes shame. They were crucified naked. Jesus was too.

So it was in this display of the death of Jesus on the cross, dying the worst kind of death and also being crucified naked which is shameful, that the salvation of mankind will rest upon.
That is the wisdom of God!
Oh Hallelujah!
It is in the seemingly foolish act of God that the wisdom of God is actually resting upon.

God’s plan for salvation was so foolish that even Satan thought it was foolish. I mean, if he thought it was wise, he would’t let Jesus die. So God used something that was really foolish, that neither man nor the devil could imagine and He allowed Jesus to die on the cross.
See, the death of the cross is the highest demonstration of the wisdom of God.

Friends, Christ is the WISDOM of God.
Do you know what wisdom is? It is understanding or knowing what the goal of a situation is or the main objective and also knowing how to achieve it.
Christ has become for us, the full expression of the plan of God.
Stay with the wisdom of God.

REFLECTION
Do I amplify the wisdom of God embodied in Christ as the only way of salvation?

DECLARATION
-I believe in the good news of the gospel. That in the giving of Jesus, I am now a beneficiary of God’s grace.
-The gospel is the grace of God. I am thankful for the grace of God.
-I have come into a progressive revelation of all that the grace of God reveals.
-The cross is the proof of God’s love for me.
-The cross is the highest demonstration of God’s power and wisdom.
-The cross is the reason why I’m saved and although it may seem foolish to the world, I marvel at God’s wisdom.
-Christ is the POWER and WISDOM of God!
-I stay with the wisdom of the cross as God’s only means for salvation and I abandon the logic and intellect of the world.
-I remain thankful for the demonstration of God’s wisdom in the dying of Jesus.
-I amplify the wisdom of God embodied in Christ as the only hope of salvation.
Praise God!
