KEY SCRIPTURE/MEMORY VERSE: Mark 16:15(TPT)
And he said to them, “As you go into all the world, preach openly the wonderful news of the gospel to the entire human race!”

We all have those moments in our lives when we receive good news, it could be a scholarship, a baby, a new job etc. the kind of news that makes you shout or dance because it pleased you so much. In fact, we live for those moments because in the midst of life’s difficulties and challenges, good news is like music to the ears.
And that’s exactly how sweet and delightful the gospel of the Jesus is to a dying and broken world. This good news is so simple and yet so profound and for a world that’s constantly in search of hope and good news, it is the message everyone needs to hear.

The gospel tells us that God placed the punishment of the whole world’s sin on Jesus Christ. In Romans 3:23, the Bible says that the wages of our sin was death, we deserved to die but God’s gracious gift of eternal life through our Lord Jesus Christ has saved the day. Oh Hallelujah!

Because of this perfect sacrifice(Hebrews 10:14), God’s wrath on the sin of mankind has been satisfied! He is not angry anymore because Jesus has paid the price for everyone. Everyone!(1 John 2:2) Including the murderer, rapist, thieves, the philanthropist, the upright man, the moral person and everyone else. And guess what, the only thing the world has to do is to receive this gift of eternal life.
That my friends, is too-good-to-be-true-news!

Romans 3:25-26 tells us that God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin and that people are only made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood.
This sacrifice is proof that God is fair in making the sinner righteous and free for believing in Jesus.

Imagine walking up to someone and saying,
“I have good news for you. All your debt has been paid by Jesus. All your sins have been forgiven, you are free. Will you accept this good news? Will you believe in the son of God?”
Now, it may take the person aback for a minute, maybe they’d say, “What? All my debt paid? Wow! I’m in”. or maybe they’d argue or try to dispute but you see, even though you never know someone’s response to the good news, you have to share at every opportunity you get.

Dear believer, this wonderful gospel is newsworthy. There’s nothing to gain in keeping goodnews to yourself. Nothing at all.
In fact, Isaiah 52:7 tells us that the feet of the messenger who brings good news of peace and salvation is blessed.
Hear that? You are blessed.
Today, get moving and spread the goodnews of Jesus’s saving grace to someone.

REFLECTION
Is the gospel good news to you? Then share.
