KEY SCRIPTURE/MEMORY VERSE: 1 John 3:20(NKJV)
For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things.

Last week, we highlighted that there are additional fruits of the gospel other than the three major ones we’ve been learning about for awhile.
And we saw that we only come into an understanding of these other fruits by looking at them through the primary fruits of genuine faith, love for all the saints and hope of a guaranteed future.

One of such additional fruits is confidence before God in weakness.
You see when you feel frail or weak or feel down, even in that moment, the gospel still produces in you, a confidence before your father.
Romans 8 verse 1 makes a very categorical statement when it says there is no more condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

Or what do we think righteousness means?
Friends, righteousness is the ability to stand before God without a sense of inferiority. And if He has made you righteous, then this state of righteousness is a function of His work not your doing.

Dear believer, you must know that righteousness is not in action, it is nature first. And this is why you have confidence before God.
It is a fruit that the gospel produces.

Look at our text today! Oh praise God!
This is for everyone, every believer who comes to church or lives life constantly feeling condemned. Listen, God is greater than your hearts. You have confidence before God everytime.
Everytime!
You are not just confident on the days where you feel you’ve been perfect. No, even in your weakness and failures, your confidence before God is unshaken.
Your heart is confident.

REFLECTION
Does my heart remain confident when I’m weak?

DECLARATION
-I believe in the good news of the gospel, that the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus has announced the provision of forgiveness of my sins.
-I don’t just know the gospel, I live the gospel. I am transformed by the gospel. The gospel is working through me.
-The hearing of the gospel produces the fruits of Genuine Faith, Love for all the Saints and Hope of a Guaranteed Future in me.
-The fruits of the gospel are not a product of my ability but are generated supernaturally.
-I have confidence before God even when I’m weak or when I fail.
-I have been made righteous not of my own doing but entirely a function of God’s work.
-I am the righteouness of God in Christ Jesus. This is my nature.
-I am in Christ Jesus, therefore no condemnation can stand against me anymore.
-Because God is greater than my heart, my heart is confident.
Hallelujah!
