KEY SCRIPTURE/MEMORY VERSE: 2 Corinthians 5:11(NKJV)
Knowing, therefore, the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are well known to God, and I also trust are well known in your consciences.

We started talking about reasons to share the gospel yesterday, and we saw that the plight of the unsaved is a powerful motivation to tell someone about the gospel. When you think about the fact that anyone who hasn’t come to the saving knowledge of Jesus is doomed for hell, then we must preach this gospel.

Like we said, the fear of physical death is least important than being made spiritually alive in Christ(Ephesians 2:1-2). So we are not to fear him who can only harm the body but Him who can destroy both body and soul in hell(Matthew 10:28)
And this is why we as believers cannot be afraid of the happenings here on earth.
Look, you are a believer.
You have eternal life(I John 5:11) and this life you have is not a joke. Except our message is a joke. Otherwise, what you have is real. Heaven is real.
Jesus has given you authority and every disease is under your feet(Mark 16:18) so you must stay in that place of faith and persuasion in God.

The plight of the unsaved is not something to sugarcoat. The plight of the sinner is that he/she is doomed for hell.
Now, we preach the love of God and the message of the gospel, letting them know that God is no longer angry with them but has forgiven them. So we understand that hell is not the motivation to preaching the gospel but the love and goodness of God. However, it doesn’t deny the fact that just as heaven is real, hell is also real and that’s the plight of the unbeliever. There is a doom awaiting.

If you say you love someone, then you’ve got to preach the gospel to them. No one is going to be in heaven on the basis of their goodness or how kind they are. No, our goodness comes after the cross.
Scripture tells us that we are His workmanship created in Christ for good works(Ephesians 2:10). The new creation is created unto good works. It wasn’t good works that made you saved. So if you are saved, you’ll do what is right by God’s enabling within you.

From our text today, we see that because of the terror of the Lord that is ahead, we’ve got to rise to persuade people of the gospel of Jesus Christ because anyone who rejects this gift of Salvation in Jesus is doomed for eternal destruction.
I desire that our hearts burn with this passion. Each time I see someone who passes on, the first question I have in my mind is if the person is saved and if not, there’s always a sense of pain that fills me because it is eternal damnation.
Those of us who have the life of Christ are indeed privileged for both life and eternity to have something that is more precious than gold or any notoriety that the world can give you.

Friends, let’s persuade people about the gospel of Jesus. Its most important.

REFLECTION
Does the plight of the unsaved move me to share the gospel?

DECLARATION
-I believe the gospel is God’s only tool for salvation.
-Because no one can be saved except by faith in Jesus, I persuade men about the gospel of Christ so that more people are rescued from eternal damnation.
-As I join in sharing the gospel, people are moving from the place of spiritual death to receiving God’s gift of eternal life.
-The fear of death and diseases has given way. We are beneficiaries of eternal life in Christ!
-My committment to the gospel is relentless and through me, people come to experience all the good things that the blood of Jesus has mediated for them.
-Christ enables me for good works.
-I win souls in millions for the Kingdom.
-Daily, I enjoy the advantage and dividends of the gospel.
Hallelujah!
