KEY SCRIPTURE/MEMORY VERSE:1 Peter 2:19,21(NLT)
For God is pleased when, conscious of his will, you patiently endure unjust treatment. For God called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered for you. He is your example, and you must follow in his steps.
You know, if you think about the intentionality of Jesus’s role both as priest and as sacrificial lamb, you will see that Jesus came to be used by God(Acts 2:23).
But when we bring this to our everyday reality, the reverse is the case. No one likes to be used.
Have you heard someone say- “I don’t like it when people use me.”?
Maybe you’ve even said it yourself. But not Jesus our example.
I found out that if you have this mindset of not wanting to be used, you’d hardly be used by God.
This thought might be unusual but if you are the individual that balks at being used by people, it will be hard for God to use you in certain dimensions because God will not use you by Himself. God will use you by using people to use you.
When I realized this, I changed my perspective.
I know that what this person has planned to do is not with good intentions but I don’t mind because of who I become after they are done with me.
Peter boldly told Jesus that he would not deny Him. Can you picture the scene? Jesus must have laughed and then calmly told Peter that he would deny Him three times and it wouldn’t even be with a person whose status or position is to be feared but it would be a young girl. Imagine that.
Jesus knew that Peter would deny Him and yet He kept feeding him.
How about Judas? Do you think Jesus wasn’t aware of his betrayal? In fact, up to the point of the betrayal, Jesus still called him- Friend(Matthew 26:47-50).
It’s a different case if you found out afterwards that you were used, how much more when you have the privilege of knowing someone would use you, would you be comfortable with him/her before you’re used?
Jesus came to be used. He came to His own- the Jews and they were the ones who still killed Him. Some of us don’t want to be used but if our sacrifice, this Jesus who laid down His life behaved just like that, you and I would be nowhere.
We say Jesus is the ultimate lamb, the perfect sacrifice but guess what? He is not just the one who came to be used by men, He also came to use men.
Dear believer, learn to open up to the idea of being used.
Get to the point where you know people can and will use you and it doesn’t stop you from your assignment.
And just like gold, the fire of being used or shortchanged is birthing something out of you. That something is the very character of Christ which is rich in virtues and of greater worth.
Why not be used?
REFLECTION
Am I open to being used by God regardless of the means, comfortable or uncomfortable?
DECLARATION
-I have received the love of God.
-I am a beneficiary of the ultimate sacrifice.
-Jesus Christ is my example and I walk in His steps.
-As I behold His selfless sacrifice, I am open and yielded for God’s use. I am submitted to God’s use.
-My heart is established in grace. No room for offense when people use me.
-I am fired up for the assignment God has given me. I stay till it is completed.
-Every experience where I feel used is birthing something better and greater out of me.
-I walk in the experience of all the good things that the blood of Jesus has mediated for me.
Hallelujah!

KEY SCRIPTURE/MEMORY VERSE: Isaiah 53:4-5(NKJV)
Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.
In the old testament, if you wanted to atone for sin, you needed two goats or whatever animal was presented. The first was the sacrificial goat and the second was the scapegoat.
The priest would put both hands on the scapegoat and symbolically transfer the guilt of the man who brought the sacrifice to the goat and then take the innocence of the scapegoa…

KEY SCRIPTURE/MEMORY VERSE: Romans 8:1(AMPC)
THEREFORE, [there is] now no condemnation (no adjudging guilty of wrong) for those who are in Christ Jesus.
I think that yesterday’s conversation is so remarkable because it gets every believer to ask the question-
“Do I really believe that sin is no longer natural to me?”
Because, you can find a believer, redeemed eternally by Christ’s blood, who knows that sin is no longer natural and that they are dead to it, begin to doubt his/her victory over sin because he struggled or slipped.
Listen, Jesus’s sacrifice destroyed sin- the nature, effect and the sin itself.
That nature is dead.
In fact, the reason you have the conflict or …

Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
When Jesus’s blood destroyed that sin factory and reduced your nature of sin to rubble, there’s something interesting that scripture says it does in Hebrews 9:14. It says- The blood of Christ cleanses our conscience from dead works.
That is, it frees us from the worry of having to obey the rules by our own effort and falling short. And it enables us to serve God freely.
It’s no longer a performance-driven relationship. You are already dead to sin. How can you produce a different result?(Romans 6:2)

GUILT TRIP IS OVER

KEY SCRIPTURE/MEMORY VERSE: Hebrews 10:22(NLT)
Let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water.
The victory that believers have over sin is so absolute. There’s no question about whether you may have the victory today then lose to sin tomorrow.
No! It is final.
Think about it, if you are dead to something, then you can’t be under its influence anymore. A dead man can’t respond to a slap or be offended.
In fact, scripture says specifically that because that body of sin has been destroyed, because it no longer …

KEY SCRIPTURE/MEMORY VERSE: 2 Corinthians 5:21(NKJV)
For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
Its amazing to know that the blood of Jesus has delivered us from guilt trips because His blood washed our conscience(Hebrews 9:14).
But guess what? There’s more to this that is so liberating.
You see, the word “remission” means to blot away. That is, to totally obliterate! This means our sin no longer exists.
So the question is- Can you be guilty of something that God does not remember?(Isaiah 43:25)
How can you be guilty of something that does not exist?(Colossians 2:14).
Do you see why guilt has lost it’s pow…

“For He Himself took our infirmities and bore our diseases and by His stripes we have been made whole.”
In the last few days, we’ve seen that the blood of Jesus is an all-encompassing package. The power of His blood has provided everything we need to live a life of victory; redemption, fellowship, healing, protection and dominion over sin.
But very often, believers only enjoy these benefits as though they were separate investments and you are only allowed to enjoy some. No, everything is for your experience.
Take healing for example. Some of us have probably lost trust in the area of believing God for our healing because of how lo…

to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.
With the significance/power that we’ve come to learn about the blood, its easy to have or continue in the wrong notions about what the blood is used for.
Take for instance, for many of us, its normal to pray this way- “I sprinkle or cover this road or house or food with the blood of Jesus.”
But friends, we don’t cover or sprinkle with the blood. The blood is not paint or poison medication.
If you cover the car with the blood, how would the driver see? It sounds funny but let’s look at scriptures to understand the co…

to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.
There’s a line of an old song that says- “The blood still works. It will never lose its power.”
That song is a reminder that the present day minstry of Jesus as an High priest is still in operation. All that His blood was shed for, He is continuously voicing for our benefit. Hallelujah!
That’s something to rejoice about!
But if you are ignorant of the ability of the blood to speak for you, you may not lay hold of all the benefits. So the believer must know that blood has a voice and that it is speaking.

KEY SCRIPTURE/MEMORY VERSE: Hebrews 2:14(NLT)
Because God’s children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death.
A few days ago, we said that the blood of Jesus has brought us eternal reconciliation. But do you know that this reconciliation didn’t happen when you responded to that altar call or when you received Christ?
No, you only came into your reconciliation when you received Him.
Let’s see how. Take a look at 2 Corinthians 5:18.
The reconciled there is in the past tense. Meaning it happened long before you came on …

But [you were purchased] with the precious blood of Christ (the Messiah), like that of a [sacrificial] lamb without blemish or spot.
If you take some time to dwell on the fact that God intentionally partook of our humanity to save us, you’d see the length He went to prove His love and fulfil the plan of redemption. And that’s a great affirmation of our faith.
Its amazing to know that the divine, precious, sinless, undefiled blood that saved you is the one that came from the breath of the Holy Ghost!
Oh glory to God!
