BUILD A LEGACY

KEY SCRIPTURE/MEMORY VERSE: Hebrews 11:15 (NKJV)
And truly if they had called to mind that country from which they had come out, they would have had opportunity to return.
The inspiring story of the heroes of faith in Hebrews 11 is so key for us as believers.
Its easy to wonder- How do you believe so staunchly in something beyond all reason and yet die without receiving the fullness of it?
I’ve got the answer. The reason they could stake their lives was because their consciousness was overtaken by the promise.
In our text, the Bible says if their consciousness of the promise had shifted i.e they called to mind another reality, they would have seen the opportunity to return, to let go of their hold on the promise.
Hear me, your consciousness defines your reality.
If you are conscious of something, you’d see the opportunity for that thing. If you are conscious of your wealth and prosperity as a dividend of the promise, you will see opportunities where others are seeing the problem and running helter skelter, grinding and hustling.
Do you know that in Genesis 37:9-10, scripture never said the sun, moon and stars in Joseph’s dream was referring to his parents or siblings?
No, that was not God’s intention for the dream.
Light is significant of rule and dominion. In Matthew 2:2, the same thing was said of Jesus. When the wise men came lookng for Jesus, they asked;
“Where is He who is born king of the Jews? For we have seen His star.”
So the sun, moon and stars were significant of Joseph’s rule in the future over the whole world but his father reduced it to family.
And when his father gave that interpretation, Joseph’s consciousness became limited by it and confined to it.
Listen, in interpreting your revelation of the promise, you must make sure your heart is big, to see beyond what the problem or your environment is conditioning you to.
Let your mind expand. Let your heart be enlarged to the size of the promise.
Friends, you are going to need this truth.
Today, tomorrow, you will need it.
Do not let the call to stay with the promise or the call to guard your heart posture, become a broken record.
Rather, like the heroes of faith, let it be your legacy.
Let your legacy be that you stayed with the promise.
DECLARATION
-I am in Christ. In Christ, I have been qualified for the fulness of the promise.
-I am a firm believer in the promise. My consciousness has been overtaken by the revelation of the promise.
-I consistently heed the call to stay with the promise and to guard my heart.
-I am committed to building the right legacy. The legacy of one who stayed with the promise.
-My heart is enlarged to the size of the promise. My life is hinged on the promise.
-I walk in the advantage and unlimited possibilities that the promise has activated.
