CROSS WITNESSES

KEY SCRIPTURE/MEMORY VERSE: Ephesians 1:19-20(NKJV)
and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,
The believer must come to the understanding that the highest demonstration of God’s power is the cross not the parting of the Red sea. Yes, that was the power of God at work but it doesn’t beat what happened at the cross!
The highest demonstration or expression of God’s power is the dying of Jesus on the cross.
Ephesians 1:18-20 shows us that the working of the mighty power of God was demonstrated on the cross of Jesus.
Verse 20-21 says that power raised Christ from the dead and made him far above any authority or power.
Look, if there is anything that is greater than the resurrection of Jesus, then that thing is greater than you. And if nothing can be greater than the resurrection power, then it means nothing can be greater than you because the resurrection was because someone died and someone died because of you.
So, if nothing else symbolizes the exceeding greatness of the power of God apart from the cross, if there is nothing that speaks about the zenith of the power of God as much as the cross, then it means that the cross which was for you, which is at work in you and which is what you now represent, nothing can be greater than it.
Listen, the power of God that is in you is greater than the power that can come from any source or any realm. Why? Because you are called a witness!
And you were not called a witness because you were there when Jesus physically died or because you were alive 2000 years ago. No.
You were called a witness because the Spirit of God who raised Jesus from the dead is inside you(Romans 8:11)and is bringing you to a revelation of what happened 2000 years ago.
Oh Hallelujah!
Dear believer, the one who was there is now in you and this reality has changed the game for you.
REFLECTION
Am I living as a witness of the cross or am I moved by other power sources?
DECLARATION
-I believe in the good news of the gospel. That in the giving of Jesus, I am now a beneficiary of God’s grace.
-The gospel is the grace of God. I am thankful for the grace of God.
-I have come into a progressive revelation of all that the grace of God reveals to us.
-The cross is the proof of God’s love for me.
-The cross is the highest demonstration of God’s power.
-Because nothing is greater than the resurrection of Jesus which was for my sake, nothing can be greater than me.
-The power that is at work in me is greater than any other power from any other source or realm because this same power raised Jesus and set him above every other power or authority.
-I am not moved by any other power no matter how threatening they may seem.
-I am a witness of the cross because the One who was there over 2000 years ago now lives in me.
