KEY SCRIPTURE/MEMORY VERSE: Ephesians 6:15(AMP)
And having strapped on your feet the gospel of peace in preparation [to face the enemy with firm-footed stability and the readiness produced by the good news].

I think it is important for every believer to live with the perspective that God is counting on us to turn our profession or life’s endeavour into avenues for reaching people with the gospel.
You must know that that’s why He placed you there, that’s why you attended that school or university, that’s why you got that promotion, that’s why you are the leader of that organization.
So, any influence you have is useful for advancing God’s agenda of reconciling the world to Himself and we ought to give ourselves to the mission.

In the last couple of days, we have examined very significant motivations for soul-winning but its very important to realize that the most remarkable motivation for soul-winning is the message itself.
Our text today, Ephesians 6 is notable for the believer’s armour but verse 15 is so powerful. It shows us that our promptness and readiness to declare the gospel is produced by the good news itself.

I’ve got a question for you- Which is easier to deliver? Good news or bad news?
If there is some bad news you are required to share, most of us would be reluctant to share. No one wants to be the bearer of bad news, right?
But when its good news, you are eager to deliver the message.
Its the same way. For those of us who understand the goodness of the gospel, our eagerness, our readiness is found in the message itself.
So the message produces the motivation and willingness to share.

You must also understand that the use of the word “preparation” in that verse is not referring to your preparation but it is a preparation reserved for those who are going to run with the message.
I hear a lot of people say-
“Oh I’m not prepared enough to share the gospel.” Or
“Oh I wasn’t ready at the time.”
Listen, you are not the one who died for the unsaved. It’s not your blood that was shed. All you are doing is being a faithful witness and delivering the message.

Isaiah 53:1 says- “Who has believed our report of salvation and unto whom has the hand of the Lord been revealed?”
Look, you are a privileged witness to convey and communicate this gospel.
You didn’t die. It was not your blood so it is not your preparation. It is His preparation and you are equipped for this(2 Corinthians 3:6)
And you know, the truth is, when you open up your mouth to declare the gospel, your heart and mouth will be filled with inspiration and what to say(Colossians 4:3).

Friends, my utmost prayer is that we all come to an awakening and a solid passion for the gospel(1 Corinthians 15:1-4)
And may we be fired up to run with this mandate as God fills our heart with passion and direction for the gospel, daily(Acts 5:42).
Amen.

REFLECTION
Take some time to think about the fact that you have been prepared and equipped to deliver the good news of the gospel.

DECLARATION
-By the equipping of the Holy Spirit, I have been given utterance to witness the gospel.
-I run with the readiness and preparation that the good news produces. Not my own preparation.
-I am an eager good news messenger.
-I am sensitive to opportunities in my locality and endeavour for the gospel and I am quick to maximize every tool as an instrument for the gospel.
-My committment to the gospel is relentless and through me, people come to experience all the good things that the blood of Jesus has mediated for them.
-Daily, I am faithful in the business of soul-winning and I make profit of souls in millions for the Kingdom.
-Daily, I enjoy the advantage and dividends of the gospel.
Hallelujah!
