MAXIMIZE YOUR TOOL OF TRADE

Dr. Phil Ransom-Bello
KEY SCRIPTURE/MEMORY VERSE: Romans 10:14(AMP)
“But how will people call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how will they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher (messenger)?”
Social media is an interesting part of the internet. Just the fact that you can connect with people from any part of the world from the confines of your room is amazing and like everything else, we get to choose how or what we use it for.
If I asked you what you used social media for, what would your answer be?
Keeping in touch with friends and family? Business only? Meeting new people? Following celebrities? Catching up on the latest gist in town?
Perhaps a few of us will add that they talk about Jesus on their social media platforms.
But how many of us do?
You see, in scripture, the apostles had to travel long distances just so they could reach people with the gospel.
But in our days, we have the means to share the gospel without travelling lots of miles.
Just a single post on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter can be what gets someone to receive salvation.
Think about it.
No limits to witnessing, whatsoever!
If every post you put up could minister the gospel to the 5 people that saw it and lead them to Christ, imagine what would happen at the end of one year.
Yesterday, we said that in these times where geographical distances can’t even be bridged, church gatherings have gone virtual.
Now, what does this tell you?
Its a lesson that there will never be a time where the spread of the gospel can be stifled.
Don’t you wonder how with all the trials and persecutions that the disciples/apostles faced, the gospel still spread?
Or the stories we’ve heard of countries where people had to smuggle in Bibles and in spite of that, the gospel continued to gain ground.
Look, there will always be avenues to propagate the gospel. And you’ve got a part to play.
It may just be one post that tells that person on your timeline who is struggling and feeling hopeless that God loves him/her and is able to give him/her an expected end.
Just one post.
Friends, don’t worry about what people will say if you suddenly start talking about Jesus.
Christ is now your life!(Colossians 3:1)
How can you not want to talk about your life?
Listen, any other life you live on social media that is not your true life(Christ life) is a fake life.
It doesn’t have to be deep wisdom. You can simply share scriptures/sermons that revealed God’s love to you.
Trust me, it can do the same for someone else too.
Invite people to online services.
Or ask the Holy Spirit for wisdom to talk to that new follower you gained.
Just make sure you are taking advantage of this tool to propagate the gospel.
Because this is so important to God, it ought to be of importance to you too.
There is no other way for a person to be reconciled to God outside of Jesus Christ(2 Corinthians 5:20)
So you have to share the gospel!(Mark 16:15)
Dear believer, as the Lord’s messenger, social media is one of your tools of trade.
Maximize it.
