BLOODY FOUNTAIN

KEY SCRIPTURE/MEMORY VERSE: Zechariah 13:1(NLT)
“On that day a fountain will be opened for the dynasty of David and for the people of Jerusalem, a fountain to cleanse them from all their sins and impurity.
When people express reservations about the message of grace or say that its a license to sin, its a sign that they don’t really understand.
If you think about the fact that your divorce from the law(which is what empowers sin in the first place)means you are now under grace(Romans 6:14), then you will know that you can no longer be controlled or ruled by sin.
Like I always say, if I gave you a million naira to just have fun and enjoy yourself, if you saw me in the course of the week, would you want to do anything to hurt me?
Think about it- I gave you a gift, would you want to hurt me knowing how much you needed that gift?
Jesus is that gift. You could not be righteous. He became sin so you could become righteous. Are you trying to say that because He gave you righteousness, you want to continue sinning?
Do you insult the one who has given you a gift? No.
Friends, grace is cause for celebration not a license to sin. We celebrate because we have come to the understanding of our deficit without Christ. And the more we understand this, the more appreciative we get of what Jesus did on the cross.
Look, Jesus took His blood and did the sprinkling. Not you. Not any man. You are not the one covering or sprinkling yourself with the blood. Tell me, where did you see the blood? It was His blood.
And now we have a high priest who intecedes on our behalf. A high priest who talks to God on our behalf.
Apart from being shed, the sprinkled blood speaks better things today(Hebrews 12:24). Its still speaking.
When you are weak, do you know what the blood is saying?
The blood is saying- “Jesus died for this. Father, avenge my death for the goodness of this one who just came.”
And when you fall into sin, scripture says we have an advocate with the Father and the blood of Jesus cleanses(1 John 2:1).
It didn’t say cleansed, it said cleanses.
Do you know why? It says cleanses because it is an open fountain. The blood has not clotted, it’s still pouring.
Hear me, the blood that speaks for us is a bloody fountain!
There’s a song that says “There is a fountain filled with blood, drawn from Emmanuel’s veins.”
Dear believer, what you are asking God for has been provided already.
The shed blood brought you into Mount Zion and it is full of facilities for you to enjoy(Hebrews 12:22-24).
The blood speaks healing. The blood speaks victory!
Truly, you have overcome by the blood of the Lamb(Revelations 12:11)

REFLECTION
Have I been been taking advantage of all that the bloody fountain continues to pour for me?
DECLARATION
-I am no longer under the influence of the law. I am under grace.
-Grace has become my new master. Therefore, my victory over sin is absolute.
-Grace has covered my deficit without Christ.
-My high priest intercedes on my behalf with the combined effect of His shed blood and His sprinkled blood.
-Jesus’s blood speaks better things for me. The blood that speaks for me is a fountain with endless supply.
-I am a full beneficiary of all that the bloody fountain continues to pour for me.
-I walk in the experience of all the good things that the blood of Jesus has mediated for me.
-I have overcome by the blood of the Lamb.
