KEY SCRIPTURE/MEMORY VERSE: Acts 4:12(TPT)
There is no one else who has the power to save us, for there is only one name to whom God has given authority by which we must experience salvation: the name of Jesus .”

Our conversation yesterday ended with a question. The question was- Will you allow God use you for the good of the gospel?
I hope you are considering the question because God is counting on you.
There are a number of reasons why it is important for us to be devoted to sharing this gospel.

To start, a primary reason for sharing the gospel is the plight of the unsaved. Have you ever thought about the plight of the one who doesn’t know Jesus? Friends, it’s a tragic situation.
Our text today tells us that there is no salvation in or by any other name.
This means that anyone who has not come to believe in Jesus is unsaved, is lost and that’s pitiable.

In recent times, many people have had to reflect and ponder over what’s most important to them. For many individuals, the pursuits, the accomplishments, its all paled in significance to the state of their relationship with God.
Now think about the fact that everyone who is coming to a realization, is probably not assured of their relationship with God or what their fate is if they were to die.
Do you see why we need to preach the gospel? The harvest is ripe for the picking.
As such, it is my earnest prayer that believers will rise up and declare the glorious message of the gospel. Amen.

Romans 5:12 makes us see that everybody was born into this pitiable state of sin because we were born into the Adamic nature and so it took the saving power of Jesus and His work on the cross to bring salvation to mankind. This means that for men to be delivered from this plight, they would need to put their faith in Jesus.
Hear me, no one can be saved by what you do, your good works, how well placed you are in society or how much you know about God. No, what gets a man saved is simply by faith in Jesus( Romans 3:22).

You know, many people are afraid of the pandemic. But in Matthew 10:28, Jesus tells us not to be afraid of who/what can only kill the body but not the soul.
Look, the virus can only cause physical death but that’s nothing compared to the fate of someone who is spiritually dead. We were all born spiritually dead because of Adam’s sin. It’s only when we receive the gift of God’s grace and forgiveness that we are quickened and made spiritually alive in Christ(Ephesians 2:1-2)
So this is the understanding that should reinforce your resolve to preach the gospel to the unsaved.
That many people need to be rescued from the terrible fate of spiritual death so they can experience the gift of eternal life whether or not they die physically(Romans 6:23).

Dear believer, the plight of the unsaved should be an effective motivation for you to share the gospel.
I pray that this stirs you up.

REFLECTION
