KEY SCRIPTURE/MEMORY VERSE: Romans 8:1(AMPC)
THEREFORE, [there is] now no condemnation (no adjudging guilty of wrong) for those who are in Christ Jesus.

I think that yesterday’s conversation is so remarkable because it gets every believer to ask the question-
“Do I really believe that sin is no longer natural to me?”
Because, you can find a believer, redeemed eternally by Christ’s blood, who knows that sin is no longer natural and that they are dead to it, begin to doubt his/her victory over sin because he struggled or slipped.
Listen, Jesus’s sacrifice destroyed sin- the nature, effect and the sin itself.
That nature is dead.

In fact, the reason you have the conflict or struggle about sin or wrongdoing is because you are born-again!
When you were not saved, the nature was still in existence, so that wrong action was natural but when you got saved, the action ceases to be natural.

In Romans 7, scripture tells us of the difficulty of the believer to live the godly life by himself. It tells us that there will be conflict.
Paul says in verse 19,
“The thing I want to do, I don’t see myself doing and the things I don’t want to do, I find myself doing.”
But he didn’t stop there.
In Romans 8:1, he says that there is therefore no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus.
The reason Chapter 8 begins with the word- “Therefore” is because Chapter 7 was saying was that if you feel that you are not saved because of the struggle, you are wrong. Because of that, there is no condemnation for you.
Hallelujah!

The blood of Jesus didn’t just deal with the factory where the sin was produced, the blood of Jesus dealt with the sin itself and also dealt with the residue too. Guilt is the residue.
You see, believers make the common mistake of holding onto guilt and condemnation, forgetting that it has been dealt with.

Hebrews 9:13,14 says that if the blood of bulls and goats could purify the flesh, how much more will the blood of Jesus cleanse your conscience?
You were once married to that nature and could only be divorced by death. Jesus’s death dealt with that nature and destroyed it(Romans 6:5).
His death ensured that we died with Him(Romans 6:5-7) so that our divorce papers to sin could be served and signed.
So you are wrong if you feel that you are not saved because of the struggle.

Dear believer, by legal right, you are free from sin. You have been completely absolved.
This is your reality.

REFLECTION
Meditate on the truth of the word that absolves you from sin, guilt and condemnation.

DECLARATION
-I am a new man in Christ.
-I am dead to sin. Sin is no longer natural to me. My victory over sin is absolute.
-Jesus took my place, redeemed me eternally and made me the righteousness of God. Legally, I’m free from sin.
-There is no condemnation strong enough to undo my clean slate or victory in Christ. I’ve been absolved from every guilt!
-I don’t sweat to live righteously. By the Spirit’s help, I yield to walk in newness.
-I am a beneficiary of God’s grace.
-I walk in the experience of all the good things that the blood of Jesus has mediated for me.
Hallelujah!
