If Christ hasn’t come back to life, our message has no meaning and your faith also has no meaning.

Have you seen the way the media has been working overtime, the way news headlines on the recent global crisis seems to have stolen the focus?
Hear me dear believer, the headlines didn’t change for us.
Christ is still the subject!
Or didn’t you hear? Resurrection wasn’t cancelled!
Oh Hallelujah!

Look, it is impossible for the story of the cross to lose relevance because our celebration of Christ’s resurrection is not a once-in-a-year event. It’s an unending celebration because its the validation of our faith.
See what our text says- the resurrection is proof that our gospel and our faith is not meaningless.

Friends, you must understand the significance of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus.
On that cross, a bloody and beautiful exchange happened. Jesus died our death so we can live His life(Colossians 2:12)
On that cross, God exhausted the wrath and judgment that we deserved for our sin on Jesus and just as He rose in victory, we rose too. Revelations 1:5 calls Jesus the firstborn among the dead, among those raised to life. Meaning we are in the number too.

Jesus’s death brought God’s love for mankind to light. But much more than the sacrificial death of a good man, He rose too!
The fact that He rose means we can embrace new life in Christ in response to this Love that went to incredible lengths to prove itself.

Because He rose, we have come into the revelation of God’s will. And in this will, we now enjoy amazing dividends;
•Freedom from sin, shame, bondage, fear and condemnation.
•We are new creatures with His blood flowing through our veins. (2 Corinthians 5:17)
•We have been declared righteous(2 Corinthians 5:21)
•We carry God’s Spirit in us.
•We have been accepted in the beloved. We now enjoy access and relationship with God.
This is the Gospel!

Because He rose, our faith is not in vain.
Because He rose, the resurrected life is at work in you(Ephesians 2:1,5,6)
Because He defeated hell, death and the grave(1 Corinthians 15:54-57) we’ve got victory.
This victory is reason to dance!

As you reflect and rejoice about the resurrection today, make sure to tell someone about your reason to dance today.

-I died with Christ and was raised with Him. Therefore, I am a new man in Christ.
-Because Jesus rose, the resurrected life is now at work in me. I walk in this consciousness.
-My faith has meaning. The resurrection of Christ has validated my faith and as a result, every area of my life enjoys the dividends.
-I rejoice today and always because by His resurrection, I have been declared righteous, forgiven and victorious over death eternally.
-I have come into the experience of the endless life.
-Every day of my life, I receive in wonder and thanksgiving, the love of God for me in Christ.
-The victory of Christ is my victory. I’ve got a reason to dance!
-Daily, I enjoy the advantage and dividends of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ.
