KEY SCRIPTURE/MEMORY VERSE: Deuteronomy 11:18 (AMPC)
Therefore you shall lay up these My words in your [minds and] hearts and in your [entire] being, and bind them for a sign upon your hands and as forehead bands between your eyes.

As I pointed out yesterday, I’ve realized that people can quote scriptures but the moment there’s a problem staring them in the face, they can’t remember the scriptures again.
So you can tell if the scripture was really a revelation or whether it was memorized.

Look, the scriptures have to be real to you. Much more than memory verses. Even I as a pastor, I need to take the same word of promise I give to others and sit/meditate on it myself.

Look what our text says. It says to lay up the word in our minds and hearts and ENTIRE BEING. To lay up speaks of deliberate action.
If you are storing promise upon promise, word upon word in your mind, you heart and being, you’d become saturated.
And it doesn’t stop there. It then says to bind them upon your HANDS i.e keep them in view and between your EYES- so you never lose sight of it.
That’s like double reinforcemcent so nothing sneaks through.

In the military, to saturate is to overwhelm the enemy with concentrated bombing.
Wow!
Now picture yourself as a soldier of Christ bombing the enemy’s strategies or attacks or challenges with the concentrated weapon of the word.

Friends, keep contemplating on the promise.
Stay saturated with the promise, it is a defense from the enemy’s fiery darts.

REFLECTION
Am I taking deliberate action to saturate myself with the promise?

DECLARATION
-In Christ, I am a beneficiary of the new covenant.
I have received the fulfilment of the promise made to Abraham and his seed.
-The promise has taken up residence in my heart. There is no room for anything else.
-I contemplate on the promise over and again.
-I lay up the promise in my heart, minds and entire being. It is engraved on my hands to keep in view and before my eyes to never lose sight of.
-I ams saturated with the promise.
-The promise is a defense system from the fiery darts of the enemy.
-Today, I enjoy daily benefits and testimonies abound for me because the Gospel works. Hallelujah!
