YOU ARE A MIRACLE!

KEY SCRIPTURE/MEMORY VERSE: Ephesians 3:17‭-‬19 (NKJV)
that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Someone once said that the greatest miracle is the miracle of salvation, that just by believing in what Christ has done, the course of a man’s life is changed forever and he undergoes a transformation of nature that society or upbringing or self-will could never have produced.
Think about it.

That you can look back and trace your becoming to what someone else did for you. Or is there any other miracle that causes you to be filled with the entirety of God? The cars, the houses, the new job (as wonderful as they are), do they cause the God who created the world and who is all-powerful to make His home in you?
If we believe that the scriptures cannot lie, then this has to be your new reality.

You see, one of the most remarkable things that being in Christ does to you is that it changes your perspective. You come to realize you are no longer the same person. Something has changed on the inside. The whole essence and presence of God is now in you and so it reflects in your character. You exhibit Christ now.

It is easy to see why Paul would make the statements he did in our text today, because when the revelation of Christ dawns in your heart, it changes everything. And this is why he would pray in the preceding verses that you will experience illumination because he knows that until you see, you may not come into full expression of all that happened when you became a new man in Christ.

The word dwell is notable. What does it mean for something to dwell? It is to spend a lot of time in a place, in a particular way. It’s like your favourite part of the house. When anyone is looking for you, they would easily find you there.
So, in essence, what happens for the new creation is that Christ has now made His home in our hearts.

Let’s imagine this together, God had a master plan for dealing with man, a mystery that He kept hidden for years. Ages and generations.
That mystery was Christ and the only way to unravel this mystery was in God revealing Himself to man.
When the time was right, God exposed this secret plan of His to the whole world through the coming of Jesus.

As a believer, the knowledge that Christ is in you is the most guaranteed truth you will ever experience. God was so confident in the ability of His love to win you over, be in you and make you like Him. Scripture says, He rested in this love. (Zephaniah 3:17.)

Colossians 1:27 says that the goal, the hope of God’s glory being manifested is that Christ is now in you.

The greatest miracle is that Christ is now in you.

Yes, YOU!

Hallelujah!

The central focus of the believer’s relationship with God is that Christ now lives in you and everything He is, you are.
Wow!
What a formidable union we have come into in Christ.
We are literal walking, talking, breathing miracles!

If you’ve ever witnessed a birth or seen a newborn, it leaves you in awe of the miracle of life. This is exactly how it is for the believer. God gave birth to you! (John 1:12,13; 1 John 5:1)
What a miracle!

This is where our transformation lies.
This is where we become.
Express the miracle that you are.
