THE GIFT WAS PAID FOR

KEY SCRIPTURE/MEMORY VERSE: Romans 3:25-26(NKJV)
whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.
Yesterday, we saw the wonderful display of the love
and justice of God at play on the cross and how it produces the gift of our righteousness.
And I said something very remarkable- That it is impossible to come to the revelation of the cross and think that the grace of God is weak or foolish.
Let me explain the reason why.
You see, the grace of God can never be weak or foolish
because even though it’s free, it’s not cheap.
Look, God spent Jesus!
He spent the blood of Jesus as an investment, as a payment for the demands of justice so you could be acquitted and set free.
Hear this dear believer;
YOU HAVE BEEN MADE RIGHTEOUS BY THE CROSS AND THERE IS NOTHING YOU DO OR ACTION YOU TAKE AS LONG AS YOU BELIEVE IN CHRIST THAT CAN MAKE YOU UNRIGHTEOUS.
I know this sounds unbelievable to take in but listen here- there was nothing you did in the first place that made you righteous and there is nothing you do after being saved, that can make you righteous, as long as your faith is in Christ(Romans 1:16-17)
So the highest demonstration of the righteousness of God is in the cross of Jesus Christ.
This is the righteousness of God!
This is how you are made righteous!
Glory to God!
And this gift has been fully paid for.
Believe and receive it.
I want you to meditate on and declare to yourself today till this truth dwells in you and takes root-
I AM THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN CHRIST JESUS.
Don’t stop talking it!
REFLECTION
Have I been trying to sustain the gift of righteousness by my actions?
DECLARATION
-I believe in the good news of the gospel. That in the giving of Jesus, I am now a beneficiary of God’s grace.
-The gospel is the grace of God. I am thankful for the grace of God.
-I have come into a progressive revelation of all that the grace of God reveals.
-The cross is the proof of God’s love for me.
-The cross is the highest demonstration of the righteousness of God.
-Because the cross happened, I have been made righteous. I am thankful for the cross.
-The dying of Jesus has credited righteousness to my account.
-The grace of God is not weak or foolish or cheap. The blood of Jesus was spent on my behalf.
-There is nothing I do or don’t do that can make me righteous. It is purely by faith in Christ Jesus.
-The gift of righteousness has been fully paid for.
-I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus!
