Let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water.

The victory that believers have over sin is so absolute. There’s no question about whether you may have the victory today then lose to sin tomorrow.
No! It is final.
Think about it, if you are dead to something, then you can’t be under its influence anymore. A dead man can’t respond to a slap or be offended.

In fact, scripture says specifically that because that body of sin has been destroyed, because it no longer exists, you can’t be a slave to it anymore(Romans 6:6).
God set this in motion as a security measure to ensure that you cannot remain in sin with the abundance of grace that you’ve come into. Hallelujah!

Listen, you must keep reckoning, responding only to the new reality that sin no longer has control over you.
In fact, if you read further down, verse 12 makes it seem as though it’s a matter of choice. It says- “Do not let….”
So if the believer fell into sin, it was a choice.
He/She did not say- “Oh I don’t do this. My nature and identity has changed from that of sin to that of righteousness.”
He/She did not respond to the new programming.

It’s just like when you’ve changed phones and changed password. Sometimes, when you pick up your phone, there might be the temptation to slip in the old password but that password is no longer in existence. It “died” with the old phone. So you’ve got to keep remembering that the password has changed!
See, sin no longer has the upper hand over you. You are now under grace and not the law and the performance-based realities that gave sin its power in the first place(1 Corinthians 15:56).

And like we saw a couple of days ago, Jesus’s blood didn’t just atone for your sin, it delivered you from the power of sin (which is the factory, the body of sin that is now dead) and the residue of sin.
What is this residue? Guilt.
It’s the guilt you feel after the sin.
What Satan is selling to you is the guilt. So you must know that you have been freed from the guilt. That’s what the blood of Jesus purged you from. Hebrews 9:13-14 tells us that unlike the blood of bulls and goats that could only purify the flesh, the blood of Jesus reaches your conscience and deals with the aftermath of sin.
It settles the guilt factor of sin.

Dear believer, the devil can’t take you on a guilt trip anymore. The blood of Jesus ended that trip!
You are free from guilt!

What guilt has held me down? I am free!

-I am a new man in Christ.
-Christ’s blood has provided remission of sins for me. My victory over sin’s control is absolute.
-His blood has cleansed my conscience. I have been freed from guilt. The devil’s guilt trip is over!
-By the blood, I have been set free from the power of sin, the action of sin and the nature of sin.
I am dead to sin.
-The password has changed. Daily, I make the choice to respond to a new programming.
-Sin no longer has dominion over me. I am under Grace.
-Daily, testimonies abound to me because the gospel works.
