BECAUSE THE CROSS HAPPENED

KEY SCRIPTURE/MEMORY VERSE: Romans 1:16(NKJV)
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.
We really can’t talk about the gospel without the cross because that’s where the gospel starts from. And if you receive the gospel, it means the dying of Jesus is where your life starts from.
Listen, THE BELIEVER’S LIFE STARTS FROM THE CROSS NOT BEFORE.
Say this to yourself- My life starts from the cross
What this means is that everything Jesus did on the cross is your life.
Everything that the cross stands to represent is your reality and so whatever is not from the cross is not your life.
You see, before the cross, there was an agreement about what qualifies you to get blessed.
The agreement was this- if you keep the commandments, if you do certain things, i.e the law, you are going to be blessed.
But scripture says that Christ became a curse for us and redeemed us from the curse of the law(Galatians 3:13).
Jesus took the place of the curse for us and by implication, we are blessed.
So the believer doesn’t pray like someone whose life is before the cross, as though God hasn’t blessed you already.
No, you already have the blessing because the cross happened.
So since the cross of Jesus happened and met the requirements for justice, every benefit of the cross, you stand to enjoy.

REFLECTION
Do I live as one whose life starts from the cross?
DECLARATION
-I believe in the good news of the gospel. That in the giving of Jesus, I am now a beneficiary of God’s grace.
-The gospel is the grace of God of God to me.
-I have come into a progressive revelation of all that the grace of God reveals to us.
-The cross is the proof of God’s love for me.
-Because the revelation of the gospel starts from the cross, therefore my life starts from the cross. Everything that the cross does not represent is not my life.
-Every provision of the cross is my reality. I live from my origin
-Jesus became a curse for me, therefore I am blessed!
-I have the blessing because the cross happened.
-I stand to enjoy every benefit of the cross because the requirements of the law has been met by the cross,
