KEY SCRIPTURE/MEMORY VERSE: Hebrews 4:16(NKJV)
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Because of the way our world has conditioned our way of thinking, many of us are so used to working to get and so, when we come to this new way of grace, many of us struggle with understanding that we can confidently ask and expect to receive.
We want to work for what God can give us free-of-charge.

We feel we have to beat ourselves up to pay for any flaws. It’s called will worship.
So we want to undergo self-punishment because we think God will be pleased at it. But God looks at you and laughs at your attempt.
Hear me once more, you have confidence before God, even when you fall into sin. I John 1:1 says, “…for if any man sins, we have an advocate with the father.”
So this confidence that He gives you is not to keep on sinning but to come before Him.

You see, there are two things that attack the confidence that God’s love grants us as believers and they are guilt and offences.
On the one hand, what guilt does is that your wrong action will move you to run away from God instead of running to Him.
Offences on the other hand, isn’t about what you did wrong but what somebody did wrong and in the end, it stifles God’s love in your heart.

Look friends, I want you to understand that the offence itself is only an event but being offended is a decision.
Everyday, you have to make up your mind what decision you’d make because as long as you are here interacting with others, offences are bound to happen.

Decide today that as Jude verse 21 says, you will keep yourself in the love of God. You will make the decision to strengthen your conviction of how accepted you are by God so that regardless of offence or guilt or failures that attempt to question your confidence before God, you will keep running to the truth of the gospel.

REFLECTION
I make the decision to keep myself in the love of God.

DECLARATION
-I believe in the good news of the gospel, that the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus has announced the provision of forgiveness of my sins.
-I don’t just know the gospel, I live the gospel. I am transformed by the gospel. The gospel is working through me.
-The hearing of the gospel produces the fruits of Genuine Faith, Love for all the Saints and Hope of a Guaranteed Future in me.
-The fruits of the gospel are not a product of my ability but are generated supernaturally.
-I have confidence before God even when I’m weak or when I fail or fall into sin.
-Regardless of the situation or the failing, my default approach to God is boldly. I will not partake in any form of self-punishment or will worship.
-No guilt or offence will pull me away. I make the decision to run to God and keep myself in His love.
-Daily, I make the choice not to give in to offences.
-I learn to confidently ask and receive because God’s grace makes me confident.
Hallelujah!
