KEY SCRIPTURE/MEMORY VERSE: Acts 18:26(NKJV)
So he began to speak boldly in the synagogue. When Aquila and Priscilla heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately.

If you go to market a product but you haven’t studied what the product really is about, it would be difficult to sell anyone on the awesomeness of the product and if you are unable to give well-informed answers to questions asked, most people may not be convinced about your product.
It’s the same equation. You can’t declare the gospel without having a grounded understanding of the nomenclature of the gospel.

You can’t be the believer that is more grounded in your ability to have well-informed conversations on politics or football but unable to speak about the gospel with your contemporaries.
Hear me, its the only thing that has eternal value!
The preaching of the gospel is not your opportunity to declare guilt for wrong or sinful actions. No, we declare the forgiveness of sins!
In John 8:10, Jesus said to the adulterous woman; “Where are those who accused you? Neither do I. Go and sin no more.”

That’s how Jesus sees the one you probably consider as a big-time sinner. He sees her without condemnation.
Listen, when you are talking to one who is unsaved, you see the saint in the person and you must let the person know that he or she has already been forgiven according to the scriptures.

Friends, as we campaign daily for men to come to the saving knowledge of Jesus we must communicate clearly what they have received.
You know, in the old testament, the people would ask God for mercy and He would grant mercy according to the acceptability of their sacrifice but in the new testament, we are not asking God for forgiveness.
The sacrifice of Jesus for us has been accepted forever!(Hebrews 10:12)
And His sacrifice has brought us eternal reconciliation.
So in this new covenant, we only receive the forgiveness that has been given, we don’t ask first before the forgiveness is given.

From our text in Acts 18:23-28, we see a man, Apollos, who had an understanding and was passionate to share the gospel but his understanding wasn’t grounded. It took the intervention of Aquila and Priscilla who explained to him more accurately and we see that he went on to teach the gospel of Christ, boldly countering any knowledge that was contrary to scriptures.

Dear believer, its important to rightly divide the word of truth(2 Timothy 2:15). Your ears must be trained to know what is near the truth or not the truth. You ears must be trained to discern the truth because truth will always be consistent.

REFLECTION
How do I see the unsaved when I declare the gospel to them- Condemned or Forgiven?

DECLARATION
-I believe the gospel is God’s only tool for salvation.
-By the equipping of the Holy Spirit, I have been given utterance to witness the gospel.
-My ears are trained to discern the truth of the gospel and to declare it accurately. I see the unsaved just as Jesus does.
-I only declare the gospel with the right nomenclature. I declare the forgiveness of sins not condemnation.
-I am committed to deepening my understanding of the gospel through study and accurate interpretation of the scriptures.
-Daily, I am faithful in the business of soul-winning and I make profit of souls in millions for the Kingdom.
-Daily, I enjoy the advantage and dividends of the gospel.
Hallelujah!
