LOVE IS YOUR LEGISLATION

KEY SCRIPTURE/MEMORY VERSE: Luke 10:27(TPT)
The religious scholar answered, “It states, ‘You must love the Lord God with all your heart, all your passion, all your energy, and your every thought. And you must love your neighbor as well as you love yourself.’ ”
If your love is the type of God’s love that waits until the person is ready or deserving before loving, then your faith should be questioned.
When we say you should love as a believer and you can celebrate others, it’s an indication that you are secured in who you are.
Your person tells us that whether they hurt you or not, you are commanded to love.
Listen friends, God legislated love.
When Jesus was talking to the lawyer who came to test Him in (Luke 10:25-37), He told him that there was a commandment of God to love your neighbour as yourself.
Think about this- How do you think your relationship with people will be if you really love them as you love yourself?
Just think.
How will your relationship with your brother or sister in Christ be if you really loved them as you love yourself?
You know there are some people who want to be understood but don’t want to understand others, they want to be forgiven but when their opportunity to give forgiveness comes, they are not willing to give forgiveness. So they always want to have more than they are willing to give.
LOVE IS NEVER SELFISH!
Never!
Even when anyone does wrong or does something that steps on your nerve and upsets you, Paul says that the love of God compels us, it constrains us (2 Corinthians 5:14).
You see, this is the sort of real, practical conversations we need to have because many of us are battling with our relationships with people because we have failed to realize that everything must come from the place of love.
Listen dear believer, love is your legislation.
REFLECTION
What if I handled my relationships and interactions only from the place of love just as God loved?
DECLARATION
-I believe in the good news of the gospel. That in the giving of Jesus, I am now a beneficiary of God’s grace.
-The gospel is the grace of God. I am thankful for the grace of God.
-I have come into a progressive revelation of all that the grace of God reveals.
-The cross is the proof of God’s love for me.
-I don’t love only those I know or like. I love different from the world. I love regardless of personality type.
-My love mirrors the kind of love God demonstrated towards me.
-I don’t love only when someone is ready or deserving, I love because of who I am.
-I am secured in who I am when I love regardless of whether the person is deserving of it.
-The love I express is never selfish.
-The love of God constrains me. His love is my legislation.
-I love others as well as I love myself.
