KEY SCRIPTURE/MEMORY VERSE: 1 Corinthians 2:5 (NKJV)
…that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.
From our text, we see Paul instructing the Corinthian church to shift the focus of their faith from the wisdom of men, to the power of God.
Power in this text is the same greek word in Romans 1:16, where Paul says the gospel is God’s power to save men.
By inference, he was asking them to focus and put their faith in the gospel and not in the wisdom of the times. Paul had a mindset about the gospel that was adamantly blind to every other mindset. And this is what our mindset should be. He was so protective that he challenged anyone who opposed the truth of the gospel. (Galatians 1:8,9) He knew that the only way to counter the wisdom of men was to amplify Christ- who is both the wisdom and power of God. (I Corinthians 1:24)
Listen, what you are most conscious of determines your reality. If you continuously meditate on the wisdom and power of God in using Christ for our redemption, it will change the way you respond to life! You will no longer respond to situations with man’s wisdom; you will navigate life by His power and wisdom.
The gospel is not only the Good News about Christ; that He died for our sins, paid for our forgiveness and united us with God eternally, the gospel is also the answer to every human question!
This should be your mindset as a believer- That the gospel of Christ changed the game for you radically!
Your faith ought to be blind to man’s wisdom and rooted in the wisdom and power of God, summed up in the Gospel of Christ. Fight against the lies and wiles of the devil that tries to distract you.

Do I respond to situations from man’s wisdom or from the wisdom of the gospel?
DECLARATION
My faith is in the Gospel.
I’m saved by Grace not by anything I did or will do.
Because of the Gospel, I have wisdom.
Because of the Gospel, I’m rich.
Because of the Gospel, my family is blessed.
Because of the Gospel, I have all I need.
Because of the Gospel, I’m a blessing to my generation,
Because of the Gospel, I’m a miracle.
